Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assembly Level 1 to join our team at Precision Castparts Corp. As an Assembly Level 1, you will be responsible for performing a variety of entry-level assembly tasks, including determining the right tool for the job, reading technical documents, prints, and work instructions, and using templates, jigs, and fixtures to execute minor part-fitting operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.
  • Operates manual or automatic assembly machines to assemble, bump, crimp, knurl, slot, insert, stamp, groove cut, etc. or resize or re-work parts to specifications.
  • Operates support machines such as arbor, drill press, cutters, rollers, etc. as well as various hand tools such as pliers, wrenches.
  • Check parts for dimensional accuracy using both touch and precision measuring instruments such as micrometers.
  • Provides necessary counts and processes documentation accurately. Maintains production logs.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of at least 1-year experience in industry or related field.
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Computer skills, including basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
