Under close supervision, the Manufacturing Associate engages in standardized assembly tasks of varying complexity related to soap dispensers and their components. This role requires functioning effectively within a team-oriented and continuously improving environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Participates in production line activities or operates individual job stations, assembling parts into sub-assemblies or completed units using various hand and power tools, as well as simple machinery.
- Handles tasks that are more complex than entry-level assembly, necessitating a broader understanding of the product line.
- Conducts product testing at both sub-assembly and final assembly stages.
- May be tasked with repairing or reworking assembled units or sub-assemblies as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining quality, workmanship, and adherence to company production standards.
- Capable of executing simple setups for assembly tasks.
- Identifies and reports issues, discrepancies, and failures in materials, tools, machinery, and processes.
- Demonstrates proficiency in the role of a Repetitive Assembler.
- Understands the four Level Defect Grading System and actively seeks to identify, report, and contribute to solutions for quality defects and errors.
- Adheres to safety standards in all operations.
- Keeps the work area organized and tidy.
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required, along with a minimum of one year of relevant experience or one to two years of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly experience.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Proficient in writing and following instructions in English.
- Effective communication skills with colleagues within the organization.
- Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, along with the ability to apply these skills in measurements of weight, volume, and distance.
- Physical requirements include frequent use of hands for handling objects and tools, as well as the ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. A high degree of manual dexterity is essential.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Salary range: $18.50/hr - $22/hr
