Under close supervision, the Manufacturing Associate performs standardized assembly tasks of varying complexity on a variety of soap dispensers and related subassemblies. This role requires functioning effectively in a team-oriented and continuously improving environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Engages in assembly tasks on a production line or at individual job stations, utilizing various hand and power tools or simple machines to assemble parts into sub-assemblies or completed units.
- Demonstrates a broader knowledge of the product line, as the functions are more varied and complex than entry-level assembly.
- Conducts product testing at sub-assembly or final assembly stages.
- May be tasked with repairing or reworking assembled units or sub-assemblies as needed.
- Maintains responsibility for quality, workmanship, and adherence to company production standards.
- Capable of performing simple set-ups and adjustments as required.
- Recognizes and reports issues, discrepancies, and failures in materials, tooling, machinery, and processes.
- Exhibits demonstrated capability in performing the role of a Repetitive Assembler.
- Understands the four Level Defect Grading System and actively seeks to identify, report, and contribute to problem-solving efforts to prevent quality defects and errors.
- Adheres to safety standards while performing all duties.
- Keeps the work area organized and tidy.
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required, along with a minimum of 1 year of related experience or 1-2 years of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly experience.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Proficient in writing and following instructions in English.
- Effective communication skills to interact with other employees.
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, along with the ability to read simple sketches and shop drawings.
- Physical requirements include frequent use of hands for handling objects and tools, as well as the ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, with specific vision abilities required for close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Salary range: $18.50/hr - $22/hr
