Key Responsibilities:
As an Industrial Maintenance Specialist I, your role will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring optimal operational performance. This includes:

  • Conducting entry to mid-level repair and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Adjusting and calibrating functional components of machinery and control systems to maintain and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Identifying and sourcing necessary parts, supplies, and repair items.
  • Providing support and assistance to fellow team members as directed by leadership.
  • Maintaining awareness of industry standards and ensuring compliance with 5S and housekeeping protocols.
  • Participating in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives focused on processes, outcomes, and cost efficiency.
  • Setting up and operating basic machining equipment, including lathes, drill presses, and grinders, as well as performing fundamental welding tasks.
  • Updating maintenance records and reviewing Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) history.
  • Executing basic troubleshooting of control systems and circuitry.
  • Engaging in self-directed technical training for professional growth.
  • Adhering to all safety policies, rules, and regulations, while demonstrating situational awareness to identify unsafe practices and conditions.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • An Associate's degree with a technical focus or 18 months of relevant experience in the industrial sector, or successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program.
  • A foundational understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to perform repairs.
  • Proficiency in using basic hand tools.

Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to:

  • Stand, walk, and use hands/fingers for extended periods.
  • Reach with hands and arms, climb, and balance at heights that may necessitate the use of ladders or lifts.
  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling in confined spaces may be necessary.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move items exceeding 50 pounds.
  • Utilize close vision and color vision for detailed tasks.
  • Work in a factory environment, which may be loud and expose employees to hazardous materials.
