Position: Procurement Specialist / Materials Coordinator

Compensation: $35.00/hr.

Job Overview:

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for overseeing the efficient movement of materials from suppliers and within various departments, ensuring alignment with production timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and manage the flow of materials in accordance with production schedules.
  • Develop and maintain material and production planning schedules.
  • Utilize knowledge of concepts, methods, and procedures to enhance material management.

Core Duties:

  • Oversee master planning, material processes, and system management, including the preparation and updating of production schedules and purchasing requirements.
  • Manage the shipping and receiving operations effectively.
  • Ensure that fabrication stacker material requirements are met.
  • Align operational activities with production plans and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Implement inventory optimization strategies and process enhancements.
  • Resolve issues using expertise and established precedents.
  • Collaborate with team members across the business unit.
  • Engage in discussions under guidance to clarify activities and provide technical explanations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Report on metrics, project progress, and research findings to internal teams.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing.
