Job Overview:

The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the efficient flow of materials within the production environment. This role involves strategic planning and management of inventory projects to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and manage the transfer of materials from suppliers to the manufacturing area.
  • Develop and execute material planning strategies to optimize inventory levels.
  • Supervise work-in-progress (WIP) jobs related to specific assemblies.
  • Monitor material flow through various production areas, ensuring support for operational needs.

Essential Duties:

  • Oversee material planning and inventory metrics to enhance production efficiency.
  • Assess the impact of inventory plan adjustments and suggest necessary changes.
  • Collaborate with personnel at all levels to resolve material availability issues.
  • Manage inventory kits and expedite material shortages from suppliers.
  • Maintain oversight of inventory health metrics and implement improvements.
  • Lead a team focused on material management and flow efficiency.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to drive collaborative efforts.
  • Report on project status and metrics to internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with materials and fulfillment teams to optimize stock levels.
  • Initiate continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing safety and reducing costs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety practices.
  • Utilize various software systems for material management and process adherence.
  • Analyze material usage data to inform forecasting and planning decisions.
  • Lead initiatives for process enhancements across the plant.
