The Commodities Sales Coordinator is responsible for managing vendor accounts related to commodities, ensuring efficient operations and financial accuracy. This role involves entering invoices into the company ledger, handling data entry for various materials, and facilitating communication with customers and vendors regarding payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the sale of commodities, ensuring timely collection of vendor payments and coordination of pick-up schedules.
- Ensure efficient scheduling and confirmation of commodity pick-ups, maintaining effective communication with relevant departments.
- Manage existing vendor accounts while actively seeking new partnerships to enhance revenue streams.
- Maintain compliance with State and Federal regulations through proper documentation.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving billing issues promptly.
- Assist in expanding the commodities line and vendor base to minimize waste and enhance sustainability efforts.
- Handle vendor accounts by processing original invoices, tracking discrepancies, and managing financial records.
- Ensure scale calibration certifications are current and provide necessary documentation to vendors.
- Maintain accurate records for materials and ensure proper tracking and return of equipment.
- Generate reports including end-of-day summaries and financial ledgers.
- This role may require occasional local travel, necessitating a valid driver's license and appropriate insurance.
Additional Responsibilities
- Undertake special projects and additional duties as assigned.
- Support the Logistics Team as needed.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are essential:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in commodities sales.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Strong customer relations skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in report generation using Excel.
- A valid driver's license and state-required auto insurance are mandatory.
Other Skills and Abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate punctuality.
- Understanding of Goodwill's mission and values, including respect, integrity, service, and excellence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with database and spreadsheet software.
Mathematical and Reasoning Skills
- Capability to perform calculations related to discounts, commissions, and percentages.
- Aptitude for solving practical problems and interpreting various forms of instructions.
