We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Facilities Maintenance Specialist at one of our locations.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for a range of routine, urgent, and preventative maintenance tasks for the community's shared facilities, communal spaces, and rental units to ensure the long-term sustainability of the community.

  • Maintain the community's aesthetic appeal, ensuring it is welcoming and meets our visual standards.
  • Conduct outdoor maintenance and seasonal tasks in communal areas, including power washing, pest management, cleaning, and landscaping upkeep.
  • Engage in daily communication with your supervisor and collaborate effectively with team members to meet customer expectations and support ongoing operations.
  • Adhere to safety protocols consistently, including the safe operation of equipment and vehicles while moving between sites and collecting supplies.
  • Establish and maintain a professional and courteous relationship with all residents, vendors, contractors, and colleagues.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, Hometown America seeks candidates with the following skills and experiences:

  • Prior experience and general knowledge in landscaping, basic plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and the use of hand tools are preferred.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying seasonal temperatures.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting, ensuring tasks and projects are completed efficiently.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends or other times outside of standard business hours for urgent situations.
  • Successful candidates will undergo criminal background and driving record checks.
  • A valid driver's license from the state of employment is required for operating company vehicles or personal vehicles for company purposes.

Work Schedule

The work schedule consists of 8-hour shifts on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with flexibility in the days worked.
