Job Description

The Regional Controls Specialist will play a crucial role in assisting and training commercial contractors with Carrier i-Vu controls. This position will be expected to draw up submittals, assist in controls start-up, support and troubleshoot i-Vu controls systems when called upon by our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide primary support for our customers to answer controls questions.
  • Assist in operating the Certified Controls Expert Contractor Program for CE South Texas.
  • Maintain Technician Certification documentation and establish training testing requirements.
  • Assist in conducting training classes for the sales installation of Carrier controls systems for dealers.
  • Attract elite contractor memberships in the Factory Controls Authorization Program.
  • Support the roll-out of new controls products to the Controls Expert dealers.
  • Grow the Carrier Commercial Controls presence in the region.
  • Manage the interface between the factory and our customers.
  • Travel throughout the region to provide support to Carrier controls dealers.

Requirements:
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline (preferred).
  • 3-5 years of HVAC experience; distribution experience preferred.
  • Experience selling and supporting HVAC Controls products.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision and achieve all goals as stated.
  • Must possess the ability to explain technical information to technical non-technical people.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in the understanding of computer programs and software applications as related to the HVAC Industry.
  • Experience working in a high-performance, cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task within a diverse work environment.
