Job Title: Direct Support Professional

Job Summary:

As a Direct Support Professional at Mt Olivet Rolling Acres, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as mental health needs. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily living activities, personal care, and program implementation, ensuring their daily well-being and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily cares, medical needs, and supports, including ADLs and mental health supports.
  • Develop and implement daily routines that promote choice and independence, including hygiene, domestic tasks, leisure time, and socialization.
  • Plan and implement recreation, leisure, and community activities that promote socialization and skill development.
  • Transport clients to appointments and community activities using a company vehicle.
  • Establish and maintain community relationships and facilitate friendships for clients.
  • Collaborate with the support team to develop and implement goals, and maintain accurate documentation of client progress.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA and MORA policies.
  • Prepare meals and complete household maintenance tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience working with clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to pass a Department of Human Services background check and maintain qualified status.
  • Valid current driver's license and vehicle insurance.
  • Successful completion of Medication Administration class and regular passing of medications without error.
