Handles various administrative tasks, including managing documents, communications, and patient requests, ensuring smooth operations within the unit. - Patient Care:
Provides essential support in patient care activities under the supervision of nursing staff, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring patient comfort. - Inventory Management:
Responsible for ordering and maintaining unit supplies, participating in budget preparation, and ensuring cost-effective operations. - Communication:
Facilitates effective communication among team members, patients, and visitors, ensuring timely information exchange and support. - Customer Service:
Welcomes and assists all individuals in a friendly manner, ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients and staff. - Documentation:
Maintains accurate medical records and documentation of care provided, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations. - Monitoring:
Responsible for observing patient heart rates and rhythms, reporting any irregularities to the appropriate staff, and maintaining monitoring equipment. - Regulatory Compliance:
Adheres to professional standards and hospital policies, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with applicable regulations.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- CPR certification must be obtained and maintained.
- Proficient in computer systems and software.
- Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
