Job Summary

The Veterinary Technician will play a vital role in supporting the doctors of our hospital, assisting with examinations, diagnoses, and treatments. This individual will also interact closely with clients, providing essential information and care instructions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist doctors with medical, surgical, and dental procedures
  • Prepare patients for surgery and administer anesthetics
  • Monitor patients during surgery and recovery
  • Perform clinical laboratory procedures, including fecal flotation exams and urinalysis
  • Take radiographs and perform EKGs
  • Counsel clients on animal care and medication usage
  • Assist with inventory management and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous veterinary experience preferred
  • Strong communication and technical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience with veterinary practice software
  • Knowledge of MS Excel and Word
