About the Role:

Cite7 is seeking a highly skilled Transportation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Transportation & Infrastructure Team, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects for municipal and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and interpret transportation data;
  • Develop and adjust traffic volumes to suit the context of a study;
  • Conduct intersection operations assessment through Synchro and other tools;
  • Report and interpret the results of the traffic operations assessment;
  • Conduct site plan review and provide redlines using Cad and Autoturn Software;
  • Liaise with clients, project team members and road authorities regarding project requirements;
  • Work with a team of transportation/traffic engineers, planners and designers to assess transportation, traffic and parking conditions;
  • Mentor junior staff on a variety of projects;
  • Preparation of graphics, technical memos, and reports to communicate technical results and recommendations;
  • Conduct field studies (site visits, inventories, transit, traffic, and parking counts);
  • Prepare and contribute to transportation studies;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering with work in the Transportation Field;
  • Eligible for P.Eng. designation from the Professional Engineers of Nova Scotia;
  • 5+ years experience in transportation/traffic engineering;
  • Proficient in Synchro and Sim-Traffic software;
  • Experience in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and AutoTurn;
  • Familiarity with transportation planning guidelines, TAC Guidelines;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suites (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access);
  • Ability to work in a team environment;
  • Good verbal and written communication and leadership abilities.
