Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our finance team at the American Theatre Guild. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for providing financial support and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare, enter, and review journal entries, reconcile various ledger accounts, and generate general ledger reports and account distribution reports to support marketing and other departments.
  • Accounting Support: Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, prepare account analysis as needed, and enter bills and process vendor payments as required.
  • Financial Analysis: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and provide financial data to support business decisions.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with accrual basis / GAAP accounting and follow all relevant financial regulations.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of accounting-related experience, with a strong background in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
