We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our finance team at the American Theatre Guild. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for providing financial support and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial records.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting: Prepare, enter, and review journal entries, reconcile various ledger accounts, and generate general ledger reports and account distribution reports to support marketing and other departments.
- Accounting Support: Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, prepare account analysis as needed, and enter bills and process vendor payments as required.
- Financial Analysis: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and provide financial data to support business decisions.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with accrual basis / GAAP accounting and follow all relevant financial regulations.
- Experience: 2+ years of accounting-related experience, with a strong background in financial analysis and reporting.
- Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
The Accounting Associate will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on providing exceptional financial support to the American Theatre Guild. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
