Data Center Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Project Manager to lead our data center construction and commissioning projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of data center projects, including initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure all aspects of the data center construction and commissioning are completed to our specifications.
  • Oversee site migration activities, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to our operations.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks, including the identification, analysis, and response to potential risks.
  • Ensure all project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related issues and resolution of issues.
  • Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, including progress reports, budget forecasts, and risk assessments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in a data center environment.
  • Proven experience in managing data center construction, commissioning, and site migration projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, security, and networking systems.
  • Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve project-related issues quickly and effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Professional Project Management (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • Ability to travel as needed to oversee project execution.
