Data Center Electrician

We are seeking a skilled Data Center Electrician to join our team at Pkaza LLC. As a Data Center Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in data center facilities nationwide.
Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical installations, including wiring, conduit work, switchgear, and lighting, in compliance with local and national electrical codes.
- Install state-of-the-art critical systems, including medium voltage switchgear, diesel generators, paralleling switchboards, UPS, PDU, whips, cables, and building monitoring systems.
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues to ensure systems are operating efficiently and safely.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on electrical systems, ensuring all components are functioning correctly and replacing or repairing faulty parts as necessary.
- Comply with all local, state, and national electrical codes, as well as company safety protocols and procedures.
- Document and maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Collaborate with other trades, including HVAC and electrical engineers, project managers, and construction workers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within the overall project.
- Ensure that all work is performed in a safe manner, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to OSHA regulations.
- Provide guidance and training to apprentice electricians as needed.
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Electrician License is a plus.
- 3 or more years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician, with specific experience in critical facilities/data center construction projects a plus.
- Strong understanding of electrical power systems with the ability to read/interpret one lines/blueprints, and schematics and apply them in the field.
- Three or more years of relevant experience (experience with power/electrical equipment including generators, critical and essential PDU's, UPS, switchgear, DC Power Systems, and building monitoring/control systems).
- Proficient in using electrical tools and equipment, with a strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of NEC codes.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions – indoor/outdoor.
- Member of Local 238, or other electrical union, or open to joining the electrical union.
- Previous experience in the Military/Military veterans in all branches that have experience with Electrical/Mechanical is a huge plus.
- 2+ years' experience with Microsoft Office products (including Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint).
