Job Overview

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday with flexible hours, starting between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM, including a 30-minute lunch break and an 8-hour workday. There is also an option to work four 10-hour days.

Compensation: Starting at $18 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in hospital billing, particularly with Medicare or Medicare Advantage plans
  • Experience with Medicaid or commercial hospital billing and their electronic insurance systems (such as Availity, Navinet, etc.)
  • Familiarity with handling denials and appeals
  • Experience with UB 04 forms

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the SSI billing system
  • Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, and CPT coding
  • Experience in physician billing
  • Familiarity with Allscripts or AM/PFM systems

Daily Responsibilities:

Insight Global Healthcare is looking for a meticulous and skilled individual to fill the role of a billing and follow-up specialist within a hospital system. This position involves ensuring that all claims are submitted accurately and promptly, as well as managing denials and appeals. The successful candidate will interact with major payers and their respective portals, and will work with Medicare and Medicaid systems. Additionally, responsibilities will include managing special claims, billing secondary insurance, and requesting or printing medical records.
