We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team at Potbelly Corporate. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of associates to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of associates to execute outstanding product quality and customer service
- Manage and develop associates to achieve sales and cost control goals
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, security procedures, and back-of-the-house procedural standards
- Count drawers and follow proper daily cash handling procedures
- Prepare quality finished products efficiently
- Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness, and safety
- Restock food line, chips, and cooler
- Clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, kitchen, and utensils; take out trash
- Operate cash register: handle, balance, and follow all cash handling procedures
- Effectively handle customer complaints/issues
- Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, and shellfish
- Ability to handle the heat of the kitchen – knife skills are a plus
- Ability to stand/walk for 8-9 hours or as needed
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
