About the Role: The Environmental Services Aide plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our residents and staff. This full-time position encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring cleanliness and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and organize residents' personal belongings as necessary.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of all common areas and floors.
  • Document and report the condition of inspected spaces to the management team.
  • Provide assistance across departments as needed to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Support the preparation and cleaning of vacant rooms.
  • Facilitate the training of new hires in essential housekeeping practices and provide feedback upon completion of their training.
  • Perform regular inspections of closets.
  • Carefully fold and iron clean clothing and linens, utilizing both manual and machine methods.
  • Sort and count items removed from dryers, ensuring proper folding and wrapping.
  • Examine and categorize items for cleaning based on color, fabric type, and required cleaning methods.
  • Deliver freshly laundered clothing to residents' rooms.
  • Restock and organize carts and racks for distribution to various departments within the facility.
  • Utilize marking machines to label residents' belongings for accurate delivery.
  • Operate washers, dryers, steam tunnels, and folding equipment effectively.
  • Initiate and control the operation of washing and drying machines, adjusting settings for optimal cleaning processes.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to engage with and meet the needs of elderly residents.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience is necessary.
  • Previous experience in environmental services is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills are essential.
