Important Notes
Individuals hired for this position must complete a minimum of 2 years before being eligible for transfer to other roles within Mayo Clinic.

This position does not qualify for visa sponsorship, except for the TN visa classification; additionally, Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of laboratory operations, medical terminology, a background in science, and 1-2 years of medical experience, although these are not mandatory.

Familiarity with computers, keyboarding, telephone operations, and other office equipment is desirable. The ability to accurately read specimen labels and work with numerical data to avoid mislabeling is essential. Candidates must be organized, capable of prioritizing tasks, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication, both verbal and written, are necessary. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting is crucial. Flexibility in scheduling, including off-shifts, holidays, and weekend assignments, is required.

Attention to detail and adherence to strict safety protocols for handling chemicals, reagents, and infectious materials are mandatory.

Compensation is set at $23.67 per hour.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with the following schedule:
- Sunday to Thursday, Day shift
- Monday to Thursday, Flexible start time between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM, 8 hours with a 30-minute break
- Sunday, Flexible start time between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM, 8 hours with a 30-minute break
