Histology Technician

Mayo Clinic is a world-renowned healthcare organization that values innovation, diversity, and inclusion. As a Renal Biopsy Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in the delivery of high-quality patient results in our top-ranked laboratory.
Responsibilities- Perform a variety of technical procedures to create microscopic slide preparations, including accessioning specimens, specimen processing, and microtomy techniques.
- Apply technical staining procedures, such as routine Hematoxylin and Eosin, special stains, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemical staining, and in situ hybridization.
- Participate in on-call rotations, including weekends as needed.
- Associate degree in a related field, such as medical laboratory technology or histology.
- Coursework in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology, including 24 semester hours.
- Certification as a Histology Technician (HT) by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP).
- A competitive hourly rate of $25.37.
