Associate Medical Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Medical Director to join our General Psychiatry team at Hartford HealthCare. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide leadership and psychiatric services to adult, adolescent, and child clients on in-patient units and partial hospitalization programs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide psychiatric services, including diagnostic admission evaluations, psychotherapy, and pharmacotherapy, as appropriate.
- Work within a multi-disciplinary treatment team and act as a clinical team leader for the coordination and supervision of care provided across clinical disciplines.
- Monitor risk indicators and act to address risk management issues in a timely manner to ensure client, staff, and visitor safety.
- Adhere to prescribing practices that are safe and evidence-based.
- Act as a liaison and communicate effectively with outside providers, primary care physicians, schools, and family members as needed.
- Provide rotational coverage to ensure continuity of psychiatric coverage/consultation services during day, night, weekend, vacation, and holiday periods.
- Experience in adult, adolescent, or child in-patient and evaluation services, with a multidisciplinary team treatment model.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible psychiatrist.
- State of CT, Department of Public Health license; DEA; CCSR.
- Computer and keyboarding skills required.
