Position: Compliance and Risk Management Specialist

Location: San Jose, CA - Hybrid

Contract Duration: 6 months

Role Overview:

The Compliance and Risk Management Specialist will engage with both internal and external stakeholders to uphold adherence to information security policies and implement a robust compliance framework. This role is pivotal in managing compliance-related interactions with clients, suppliers, and partners while providing guidance to internal teams on risk and compliance obligations. A solid understanding of various security, privacy, and business continuity frameworks is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in formulating and enforcing policies and procedures aligned with industry best practices.
  • Facilitate the dissemination of security standards and operational procedures throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with different departments to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Identify control deficiencies and contribute to the development and monitoring of new controls.
  • Participate in security incident response initiatives as necessary.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Address and comply with external regulatory requirements.
  • Establish a formal risk management framework, including a risk registry and assessment processes.
  • Develop a baseline for security configurations across all network devices.
  • Work alongside IT to create an effective change management process.
  • Coordinate with vulnerability management teams to ensure timely remediation actions.
  • Create an Information Security Dashboard to present metrics from various security controls.
  • Support the implementation of an information security awareness training program across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in security, particularly in a Risk/Compliance capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Experience with tools such as Splunk Enterprise Security, Netskope CASB, and Enterprise Immunity Solutions is preferred.
  • Possession of one or more certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC.
  • Prior experience in the Semiconductor or R&D sectors is advantageous.
  • Thorough understanding and practical experience with various compliance and risk management frameworks.
  • Hands-on knowledge of networking protocols and standards (e.g., TCP/IP, IPSEC, routing protocols, 802.1x).
  • Proven track record in Risk Management, Auditing/Compliance, Configuration Management, Employee Education, and Vulnerability Management.
