Corewell Health is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Royal Oak Hospital. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including vital sign checks, medication administration, and wound care.
- Assist with patient transportation and mobility, ensuring safe and efficient movement throughout the hospital.
- Document patient information and care provided in the electronic medical record.
- Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to support the efficient functioning of the nursing unit.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support certification required.
- Current CNA certification preferred.
