Job Summary

The Team Leader works in conjunction with the Residential Staff Supervisor to schedule and direct the Community Integrated Living Specialists. This role requires effective communication skills, flexibility to changing program needs, and professionalism when engaging with staff, peers, supervisors, participants, and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Community Integrated Living Specialists and ensure participant needs and choices are supported.
  • Establish the staffing pattern at the home and secure substitute staff as needed.
  • Be knowledgeable of each participant's medical needs and provide medical support in emergencies.
  • Plan, organize, and direct activities for the overall operations of the CILA homes to ensure participants reside in a safe, comfortable, and sufficiently supplied home.
  • Provide oversight, modeling, and training of staff to ensure appropriate interactions, learning techniques, financial responsibility, and basic care are performed in a manner of respect and dignity.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field or equivalent experience.
  • Two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or other special needs populations.
  • One year of supervisory experience.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance.
Work Environment

The work environment is quiet to moderate, with a focus on providing a safe and comfortable living environment for participants.
