Nurse Manager Job Summary

The Nurse Manager at St. Luke's Cataract & Laser Institute is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the surgical practice, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and maintaining regulatory compliance. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as expertise in perioperative nursing and ophthalmic care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective surgical services
  • Supervise and mentor surgical staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care transitions
  • Manage facility operations, including budgeting, staffing, and supply chain management
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including accreditation and licensure standards
Requirements:
  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing
  • OR experience required
  • ASC experience preferred
  • Current state licensure required
  • ACLS Required
  • Perioperative (preop, intraop, postop patient care) nursing experience required
  • Management training and experience required
