About the Role:

Gaylor Electric is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead our design and engineering department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and developing our technical resources, ensuring the integration and coordination of technical designs with other internal departments and external consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop the design and engineering department, including planning, organizing, and developing standard operating procedures and control documents.
  • Supervise and guide staff methods, approaches, and techniques for conceptual and interpretive drafting of design-build or plan/spec projects.
  • Confer with interdepartmental personnel concerning technical support issues, production scheduling, and coordination with external consultants to resolve design issues.
  • Research, develop, and prepare design documents, as well as review completed work to determine adequacy and accuracy of drawings and design.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent studies/experience.
  • Position requires a high degree of technical knowledge of lighting design, electrical construction, proficiency in NEC code standards, and computer estimating applications.
  • Strong administrative, computer, and communication skills also required.
