About the Position:
Bristol Alliance of Companies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team of experts. This role involves working on a wide range of construction projects, from new buildings to renovations, focusing on mechanical utility systems such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of DoD and Navy guide specifications, criteria, and policy, as well as industry codes and standards. They will also be knowledgeable about Autodesk software, Microsoft Office products, and other applicable DoD computer systems and software used by the Command. In addition to technical expertise, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to lead teams and coordinate work effectively. We offer a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $140,000 per year, plus benefits, including paid time off, paid holidays, comprehensive health insurance, 401(k) plan with employer match. Responsibilities:
* Develop engineering designs and plans for mechanical utility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems
* Collaborate with the team to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget
* Stay up-to-date with the latest industry codes and standards, including DoD and Navy guide specifications, criteria, and policy
* Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and technicians
* Participate in project meetings and contribute to the development of project plans and schedules

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of professional mechanical engineering code-compliant facilities design experience for new construction, including renovation design experience. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program is also required. Additionally, registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering is necessary. Candidates should have knowledge of local, state, federal, and foreign country laws, codes, and other statutory requirements affecting mechanical engineering design throughout the NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic AOR. Experience with Autodesk software, Microsoft Office products, and other applicable DoD computer systems and software used by the Command is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to produce results of analysis in writing and make oral presentations of proposed designs and results of studies, are also required.
