Job Summary

**Area Chief of Staff - Veterinary Leadership Position**

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced veterinary professional to fill the role of Area Chief of Staff. This leadership position is responsible for driving clinical excellence, developing and managing associate veterinarians, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in assigned hospitals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop associate veterinarians to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and meet expected hospital performance measures.
  • Drive the culture and delivery of quality care by the veterinary provider team in assigned hospitals.
  • Partner with the Practice Manager to manage medical equipment inventory and functionality, and ensure hospital operations meet all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Actively participate in local, state, and national veterinary organizations to cultivate relationships within the veterinary profession and promote Banfield's brand reputation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce turnover risk and provide consistent support at the hospital level to drive doctor engagement and retention.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required.
  • Veterinary license in good standing or eligibility for licensure with the applicable state veterinary board.
  • 3 years experience in small animal medicine and surgery practice.
