Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Museum Education Consultant to join our team at the Field Museum. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing professional development programs for Pre-K-12th grade educators, focusing on authentic investigations with museum collections.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement professional development programs for Pre-K-12th grade educators, focusing on authentic investigations with museum collections.
  • Build and maintain relationships with teachers, school leaders, and partner organizations, serving as liaison to schools and universities.
  • Develop educational resources for educators to use in support of professional development, including curriculum for Harris Learning Collection materials.
  • Contribute to program reporting efforts, including grant reports and proposals as needed.
  • Foster ongoing internal collaborations across departments and external collaborations with schools and community partners in support of professional development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields of education, science, social science, or other related fields.
  • 3-5 years successfully teaching and developing curriculum for Pre-K-12th grade preferred.
  • 1-3 years of successfully developing and implementing adult learning experiences is preferred.
  • Estimated salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year.
