Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nutritionist I to join our team at the Lundquist Institute. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting nutrition assessments and counseling, as well as providing education and support to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct nutrition assessments and counseling sessions with clients
- Develop and implement nutrition education programs for clients
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care
- Enter data into WIC WISE and CAIR databases
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics
- Registered with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)
- Strong background in maternal and child health and nutrition
- Thorough understanding of nutrition as it relates to diet and disease
- Familiarity with WIC Program services, regulations, and policies
- Strong computer skills and ability to use WIC WISE and CAIR databases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions:
The Nutritionist I will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a team setting and maintain confidentiality of client information.
