Job Title: Degreed Nutritionist

The Lundquist Institute is seeking a highly skilled Degreed Nutritionist to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified Degreed Nutritionist to provide nutrition and health education services to our clients. The successful candidate will have a strong background in maternal and child health and nutrition, and will be able to conduct risk assessments and provide education and support to our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct nutritional and breastfeeding/chestfeeding risk assessments and follow-up
  • Provide individual and group nutrition education and breastfeeding/chestfeeding support to low-risk and high-risk participants in the WIC Program
  • Document care plans, assessment data, follow-up notes, and referrals in the WIC WISE database
  • Reinforce Medical Nutrition therapy when made available by Health Care Providers
  • Consult with physicians, Lactation Consultants, and other health professional staff relating to participants who have special health care needs, breastfeeding problems, and therapeutic formula prescriptions
  • Conduct presentations to WIC staff on a variety of program and nutrition topics
  • Perform other tasks as assigned to support WIC Program site operations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics
  • Valid California driver's license, proof of personal auto insurance, and dependable personal transportation with current California registration for traveling to WIC sites and the administrative office for meetings
  • Ability to become proficient in basic conversational Spanish
Salary:

$19.00-$32.18/hr
