Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Culinary Cleaning Specialist to join our team at Black Bear Diner. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our dishes, small wares, and kitchen areas.

Job Description

Your primary responsibility as a Culinary Cleaning Specialist will be to ensure that all dishes, utensils, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized to the highest standards. You will also be responsible for re-stocking supplies, moving between active cook lines, and cleaning restrooms, dining rooms, and exterior areas of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a commercial dish machine
  • Manage the use of chemicals for cleaning and sanitizing
  • Re-stock and move efficiently between active cook lines
  • Re-stock and move efficiently between active serving lines
  • Clean, maintain, and stock restrooms, dining rooms, and exterior areas of the restaurant
  • Complete cleaning and organizing duties accurately and on time
  • Clear tables, sanitize surfaces, and sort plates, glasses, and silverware
  • Ensure proper food safety and sanitation standards to protect guest safety
Personal Requirements:
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective teamwork skills
  • Ability to stand and remain alert for extended periods
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
  • Continuous use of hands and arms
  • Continuous bending, reaching, and twisting
  • Maintain a strong personal image and uniform standards
Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $25-$35 per hour, depending on experience, and benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off.
