Job Title: Assistant Store Manager

At Dollar General, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our store by providing exceptional customer service, managing store operations, and leading a team of sales associates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide superior customer service by greeting and assisting customers, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manage store operations, including receiving, stocking, and rotating merchandise, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Lead and develop a team of sales associates by providing coaching, training, and feedback, and promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Assist with scheduling, payroll, and benefits administration, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager, including opening and closing the store, and performing cash handling and other tasks as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • One year of retail experience and six months of supervisory experience required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, sales associates, and other store employees.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
