Transportation Engineer

The Transportation Engineer performs a variety of engineering duties throughout Project Development, Construction, Traffic Operations, Planning/Local Assistance, Environmental, Maintenance, and Program/Project & Asset Management. The incumbent may be assigned to a variety of positions in an office or field environment based on annual workload, delivery commitments, and seasonal needs.
Key Responsibilities- Perform engineering duties in Project Development, Construction, Traffic Operations, Planning/Local Assistance, Environmental, Maintenance, and Program/Project & Asset Management
- Work in a climate-controlled environment, with artificial lighting in an office building, field office, laboratory, or trailer
- Travel to work sites for field work and other travel as required
- May be exposed to loud noise, dust, chemicals, and extreme weather conditions
- Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a state-owned or leased vehicle
- Valid Professional Engineering License (TE Civil) required for Range D appointment
