Job Summary

PPS-HPS is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team at our aluminum extrusion and finishing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting and repair skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems and machinery to minimize downtime and ensure optimal production levels.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and structures to prevent breakdowns and extend lifespan.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and optimize facility operations.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of electrical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic valves, pumps, cylinders, and schematics.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Log and track maintenance activities to ensure accurate record-keeping and facilitate future planning.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote efficiency and productivity.
  • Perform other maintenance duties as assigned to support facility operations.

Requirements:

  • Current LME license or Plant Journeyman license required.
  • Proven experience with electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair of complex equipment.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including valves, pumps, cylinders, and schematics.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, Variable frequency drives, 3 phase 480vac equipment, motor controls, and sensors.
  • Knowledge of general industrial equipment, including chain, bushings, bearings, gearboxes, and drive belts.
  • Experience with fabrication and reading blueprints.
  • Lock out/tag out experience.
  • Ability to operate forklift and man lift.
  • Experience with plumbing of air, oil, grease, and water lines.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Subject to drug screen and criminal background check.
