Building Maintenance Technician

Northern Gold Foods Ltd. is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at our facility in Junction City. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and contribute to the success of our company.


The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of performing building and machine maintenance, with experience in a manufacturing environment a plus. They will be responsible for performing odd jobs on the building structure and grounds, including painting, drywall repairs, minor plumbing, and changing air filters. They will also assist technicians with setup or mechanical repairs on production equipment as needed.


The successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to multi-task, and have good communication skills. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and quality. They will also be required to work various shifts and overtime when business conditions require production or maintenance support.


Key responsibilities will include:


  • Performing maintenance work orders throughout the building and grounds
  • Disassembling and reassembling components, including pumps and valves, during cleaning cycles on the manufacturing lines
  • Changing filters in heating and ventilating equipment
  • Assisting technicians with setup or mechanical repairs on production equipment
  • Completing logs and communicating with Supervisors, Managers, and Operators on work performed
  • Participating in the implementation of various improvement projects

Key qualifications will include:


  • Proven track record of performing building and/or machine maintenance
  • Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
  • Painting and drywall repair experience
  • Self-motivated and able to multi-task
  • Good English language skills - both written and verbal
  • Ability to work various shifts and overtime when business conditions require production or maintenance support

Physical demands of the job will include standing and walking up to 8 hours, lifting and carrying 25 to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling more than 1,000 lbs using a pallet jack, and continually bending, stooping, twisting, using arms, wrists, and hands (including grasping and squeezing) throughout the shift.
