Key Responsibilities:
- Frontend Development: Create and implement front-end features using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Ensure that websites are responsive, efficient, and compatible across various browsers and devices.
- CMS Oversight: Develop and manage web pages through our content management system (CMS). Address web requests from our ticketing system promptly.
- UX/UI Design: Lead the UX/UI efforts by designing user-friendly interfaces that reflect our brand and adhere to accessibility standards.
- Web Asset Management: Oversee all web assets, ensuring they are current and consistent throughout the website.
- Brand Consistency: Guarantee that all web pages and digital assets conform to the company’s branding guidelines and maintain a cohesive style.
- Prototype Development: Create and present prototypes and design comps using industry-standard tools to guide the development process and align with stakeholder expectations.
- Accessibility Compliance: Implement designs that comply with web accessibility standards (WCAG) to ensure inclusive experiences for all users.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct comprehensive QA testing to verify that all web pages and digital assets meet performance, usability, and functionality standards.
- Team Support: Assist team members with website functionality and provide guidance on content updates using the backend.
- Email Campaigns: Design and develop HTML emails and digital marketing campaigns that are visually engaging and responsive.
- A/B Testing: Execute A/B testing to enhance website performance, user experience, and conversion rates.
- Vendor Collaboration: Support third-party vendors in the design and implementation of website components.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to ensure that designs align with business objectives, utilizing tools like Jira for project management.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A degree in design with over 4 years of experience in computer science or a related field, showcasing expertise in UI/UX design and front-end development.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CSS preprocessors (e.g., Sass, Less). Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) is advantageous. Strong understanding of content management systems (Drupal experience is a plus).
- Design Proficiency: Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, with a robust portfolio that highlights a variety of design and development projects, including prototype creation.
- Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- UX/UI Knowledge: Understanding of UX/UI best practices, including responsive and adaptive design principles to ensure seamless functionality across devices.
- Performance Optimization: Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques to guarantee quick load times and efficient user experiences.
- Accessibility Awareness: Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices for inclusive design.
