Manufacturing Process Engineer

Job Summary:
This role involves coordinating and supervising production process methods and engineering activities to enable production. You'll be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining production processes to drive quality and efficiency, as well as developing manufacturing plans that achieve production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and organization to optimize value-added operations and operating costs.
- Evaluate and execute innovative, cost-effective, safe manufacturing processes and techniques to improve the effectiveness of manufacturing operations and business systems.
- Find opportunities to employ process automation and present project justification for capital expenditures to improve productivity, quality, equipment performance, energy consumption, and downtime reduction.
- Provide technical expertise and leadership for the timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems.
- Utilize a standardized problem-solving approach to troubleshoot product and process failures and develop root cause solutions to prevent reoccurrences through the final manufacturing validation process.
- Support Rapid Improvement/Kaizen events with ideas and tangible lean tool applications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Ability to train others.
- Extensive knowledge of various Microsoft Office applications.
Competencies:
- Prior manufacturing and welding experience, a plus, or willingness to further develop welding skills.
- PLC and Python programming experience, a plus.
- AutoCAD and 3D modeling proficiency.
- Project leadership and team building skills required.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma tools and methodology, a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively and possess a strong work ethic with a positive attitude.
