KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere and assist customers in navigating the menu, providing recommendations.
- Build rapport with customers and maintain professional relationships, remembering regular orders.
- Keep work areas clean and organized, including blenders, beverage equipment, tables, shelves, and floors.
- Articulate tasting notes of specialty beverages to customers effectively.
- Regularly sample coffee and tea to uphold quality standards.
- Exhibit proficiency in basic latte art.
- Master Point of Sale systems and related applications.
- Ensure accuracy in customer transactions and cash handling.
- Complete opening, closing, and cleaning checklists to prepare for the next shift.
- Package food and doughnut orders efficiently and neatly.
- Stay informed about menu items and communicate ingredient changes to customers.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, preventing cross-contamination.
- Monitor product quality and maintain FIFO (first in, first out) inventory practices.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and organizing supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas, including front of house, patio, and restrooms.
- Dispose of trash and recycling appropriately.
- Collaborate with the team to complete regular cleaning and maintenance of beverage equipment.
- Adhere strictly to food safety regulations.
- Be punctual and reliable.
- Ensure complete customer satisfaction, addressing any issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with team members to promote a positive work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Food Handler Certification (must be obtained within 90 days of employment).
- Ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Skill in prioritizing and completing assigned tasks.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Capacity to stand for extended periods, with shifts lasting up to 10 hours.
