Job Title: Patient Access Specialist Sr

UCHealth is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist Sr to join our team. As a key member of our clinical access team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient access to our services.

Responsibilities:
  • Meet with patients and/or their caregivers to exchange necessary information and documentation.
  • Provide clear explanations of visit instructions and address concerns and questions.
  • Communicate with referring providers' offices, clinical departments, and other personnel to exchange necessary information and determine schedules.
  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification/authorization as needed.
  • Determine and accept required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refer to financial counselors for follow-up.
  • Ensure all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy.
Requirements:
  • Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
