Surgical Technologist III Cardiac Specialist

Tufts Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist III Cardiac to join our team. This role requires expertise in aseptic technique, infection prevention practices, and anatomy and physiology. The successful candidate will work closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care throughout the perioperative experience.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures, maintaining aseptic technique and ensuring the proper use of instruments and equipment.
- Participate in surgery by organizing instrumentation, participating in surgical counts, and managing intraoperative medications.
- Perform related activities under the direction of the surgeon, including positioning, moving, and transporting patients as needed.
- Assist with room turnover activities, including decontamination of instrumentation, equipment, and the operating room.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and orientation of new personnel.
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program or equivalent experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Surgical Technologist certification (CST).
- Five (5) years of experience as a Surgical Technologist, scrubbing in all major services.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
