Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist III to join our Radiation Oncology team at Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH). As a Surgical Technologist III, you will play a critical role in the operating room, preparing and maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting with the peri-operative care of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, ensuring a sterile and efficient workspace.
  • Assist with the peri-operative care of patients, working closely with surgeons and nurses to ensure smooth and efficient function of the operating room.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of sterile techniques and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
  • Current Surgical Technologist Certification is required if eligible to sit for certification exam; must hold and maintain a current Surgical Technologist Certification administered by a nationally recognized surgical technologist certifying body accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies and recognized by the American College of Surgeons and Association of Surgical Technologists.
  • Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program.
  • National CST certification required.
  • Must have 5 years of surgical technician experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Radiation or radiology procedural experience preferred.
  • Committee and leadership experience preferred.
  • One (1) year of experience working and leading teams preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
