Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients.
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties on nursing units, including data entry, record-keeping, and communication with healthcare staff.
  • Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans, promoting positive outcomes and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the continuous enhancement of patient care services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field (highly preferred) or high school diploma.
  • One year of experience working with a psychiatric patient population (preferred).
  • Knowledge of psychiatric group processes, therapeutic relationships, age-specific growth and development, limit setting, behavior management, crisis management, and CPR training (preferred).
