Role Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to assist our legal team in providing outstanding services. The successful candidate will be involved in various tasks, including document preparation, client interactions, legal research, and trial support.

Key Duties:

  • Work collaboratively with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss ongoing cases and projects.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and interrogatories, ensuring compliance with court procedures.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on legal statutes, regulations, and case law, providing detailed written summaries for attorneys.
  • Interview clients and witnesses, summarizing their statements effectively.
  • Organize and maintain case files, including evidence, exhibits, and depositions.
  • Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including attending trials and hearings as necessary.
  • Keep accurate records of billable hours associated with specific cases.
  • Perform additional tasks to support the firm, including:
    • Managing physical and electronic files
    • Coordinating meetings and schedules
    • Preparing correspondence
    • Tracking tasks and follow-ups
    • Assisting with billing and accounting
    • Responding to inquiries
    • Providing administrative support for documents
    • Collaborating with other paralegals as needed

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, research techniques, and court procedures.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic and occasionally high-pressure environment.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and sound judgment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software.

Education and Experience:

  • An associate or bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant experience in a legal setting is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
  • Capability to lift up to 15 pounds as necessary.
