Occupational Therapy Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team in a PRN capacity. As a COTA, you will play a vital role in providing direct care and coordinating with our interdisciplinary team to ensure our patients receive the best possible care.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform ongoing evaluations of patient functional status
  • Teach and/or retrain patients on daily activities
  • Provide instruction to patients' family/caregivers on treatment regimens
  • Follow treatment programs and goals for improved patient function as advised by the Registered Occupational Therapist
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and submit documentation
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal legal and regulatory requirements
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an occupational therapy assistant education program accredited by ACOTE
  • NBCOT certified with current licensure to practice in the state of operation
  • 1+ year COTA experience
  • Home health experience preferred
  • Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence
