Join the dedicated team at Brynn Marr Hospital as a Chief Psychiatric Officer. We are currently in search of a proactive, empathetic, and driven professional to enhance our exceptional psychiatric care services in eastern North Carolina.

This full-time leadership role encompasses a Monday – Friday schedule, focusing on overseeing patient care in both inpatient and residential treatment settings.


Essential Qualifications:

  • MD/DO degree from an accredited institution
The following outlines the role requirements, anticipated candidate experience, and necessary qualifications.

  • Board certification in Psychiatry (mandatory)
  • Board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (preferred)
  • Valid license to practice in North Carolina or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • At least five years of clinical practice experience
  • Prior management experience is preferred
  • Fulfillment of all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians

  • Strong business insight related to psychiatric operations, finance, and decision-making As a prominent and active role, the Chief Psychiatric Officer position includes:
  • Supervision of other physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical staff
  • Development of programs
  • Participation in Medical Staff and Executive Team committees and meetings
  • Engagement in quality improvement initiatives, risk management, and service utilization management Brynn Marr Hospital is a 102-bed facility dedicated to serving children, adolescents, and adults through therapy, programming, and medication management for treatment.
