ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a UC Tax Specialist, your responsibilities will include making direct and other forms of contact with businesses to convey all necessary obligations they must meet under Pennsylvania's UC regulations. You will analyze their financial documentation and investigate discrepancies to ensure compliance, detect errors, and uncover fraudulent activities. Each case presents unique challenges and offers numerous opportunities for professional growth.

The UC Tax Specialist positions are primarily home-based, with a blend of travel, remote work, and on-site engagements with employers across your designated territory.


Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment.
  • Standard work hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, including a 30-minute lunch break.
  • Alternate Work Schedule (AWS) options are available.
  • Preference in hiring may be given to candidates residing in specific counties.
  • Frequent travel within the assigned territory is required, with travel expenses covered.
  • Salary: The starting salary is fixed and non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Experience and Training:

  • A bachelor's degree with at least 18 college credits in finance and accounting, including a minimum of 6 credits in accounting; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and education that includes 18 college credits in finance and accounting, with at least 6 credits in accounting.

Additional Requirements:

  • An active Pennsylvania driver's license that is not suspended is required.
  • Compliance with Pennsylvania residency requirements is necessary.
  • Preference may be given to candidates residing in specific counties.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions is mandatory.

  • This position will have access to sensitive Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to stringent background checks as per IRS guidelines.
