Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced professional engineer to manage the organization, execution, and delivery of water treatment, wastewater reclamation, pump station, and administrative building projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water and wastewater systems, excellent problem-solving and negotiating skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with county management, peers, staff, and the public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple projects at one or more facilities, including water and wastewater capital improvement projects, water and sewer enhancements, expansions, rehabilitations, or replacements.
  • Provide technical engineering support to the Facilities E&C Section Manager and Division Director to support leadership efforts to leverage Facilities E&C resources with greater efficiency and facilitate improved project delivery approach.
  • Manage the development of contract documents during the design phase, review and approve invoicing, review, negotiate, and process Change Orders, and coordinate with Engineer of Record.
  • Conduct constructability reviews and work closely with the pre-construction supervisor and inspection group manager from project initiation to completion.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Four years of progressively responsible engineering experience, some of which should be in a supervisory capacity.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Professional Engineer License (PE).
