This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and technical skills. As a Water Resources Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the work of field personnel and office staff, ensuring that departmental schedules and goals are met. You will also be responsible for evaluating performance, managing daily work assignments, and ensuring compliance with applicable ordinances, laws, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Manage Field Personnel: Oversee the inspection and testing of field and/or facility equipment and materials for compliance with applicable ordinances, laws, and regulations.
- Coordinate Field Operations: Oversee the replacement and installation of new equipment and perform labor in the construction and maintenance of public roadways, sewer, water, meters, and/or stormwater lines.
- Provide Technical Guidance: Advise personnel on reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications and performing complex installations and repairs of equipment.
- Respond to Customer Inquiries: Respond to complex questions and concerns from customers, resolve problems as they arise, and educate customers on utility operations.
- Prepare Reports and Logs: Prepare various logs, forms, and reports detailing daily crew operations.
- Ensure Safety and Compliance: Assist in training personnel on proper safety precautions and ensure a safe working environment on site.
- Education: High School diploma or GED.
- Experience: Five years of related work experience, including one year of lead experience.
- Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver's license, Water Distribution License or Wastewater Collection License, and Confined Space Certification.
